Some Good, Some Bad

I've got a '03 V6 (not super charged). I got this really as reference to help a buddy and me replace my timing belt (he's all but a professional mechanic) and am planning on figuring out what maintenance I can do on my own. This book has left me with a complete 50/50 feeling. It covers such a broad range of years, as most after market manuals do, that I found my Frontier to be just a little different than what's described in the book. It's definitely gotten me through some jobs but has also left me standing and scratching my head. It's a good starting point but I would recommend walking through every project comparing the book to your actual truck as best you can before starting anything. Despite what other reviews have said, I wouldn't tear down and rebuild my truck with this, but, combined with forums and blogs online, it's good too have.
Compared to the Haynes, I'd get the Chilton.

Good starting point with lots of useful information

As most of you know, this is not a substitute for an OEM factory manual. Since most of these Chilton's and Haynes manuals cover multiple vehicles, the steps and part locations listed in the text do not always reflect what you'll be looking at in your own garage. If your automotive knowledge is limited to changing fluids, spark plugs, air filters and maybe even brakes, I don't recommend trying to rebuild your engine with only this manual. However, it's great to have around and can get you through a good majority of the general repairs that will need to be performed on your vehicle during the time you own it.

Chilton Manel for 1998 to 2004 pickups

I would highly recommend this product to any one with a Nissan pickup from 1998 to 2004. Manual covers all small to large repairs with not only step by step information to do it, but also picture to picture instructions as well, for those with little to no experience in the field. I've purchased the more expensive manuals to find they cover less repairs, and are geared more to someone who already knows the basics. In the real world most people don't, so I would purchase this one, repairs will be easy and cheap as they should be. :0)

Solid Read

Femi's book is well organized, succinct, and easy to read. I love that he teaches both the theory as well as the python methodology. As someone with a math and programming background, I did notice some slight errors. However, nothing that detracted from the overall merit of the book. Definitely a solid read for someone trying to get into data science!

Great reference tool

This book is brilliantly done. I own and have used quite a few Pandas for 'x', Python for 'x' titles that go through the basics of the tool, but leave the reader without a clear understanding of the theoretical basis. Mastering Pandas, however, provides the all the necessary context. I used it to level up my skillset quickly while taking a data science course, and I found it invaluable. R users will be delighted to find that there are detailed comparisons between R and Pandas--you can port your knowledge quickly from one context to the other. I gave Mastering Pandas 5 stars because I find that while working, I tend to have it open to use as a quick reference tool.

About the Author

Jerome Klapka (K.) Jerome was an English writer who is best known for his comic travel story, Three Men in a Boat, and the essay collections Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow and Second Thoughts of an Idle Fellow. Raised in poverty, Jerome entered into various careers in the railway, theatre, education, and law before his comic essays were accepted for publication. His writing career firmly established with the publication of Three Men in a Boat, Jerome went on to publish more than thirty works of prose and plays before his passing in 1927.

I dearly love this book. Someone gave me an antique copy when I was in grade school and it's wonderful now to have it on my Kindle. For readers who don't know Jerome K. Jerome, this is an amusing introduction to a very droll writer who was also an acute observer of his time. And it's a quick read for aficionados of Christmas ghost stories.

Jerome K. Jerome will make you laugh out loud. Told After Supper is a humorous and entertaining book. It is in the Victorian style when ghost stories were often told at Christmas. Not awful

Author needs to do a little more research if he's going to write military sci-Fi. Examples: rank structure oddities and customs/courtesies are out of wack, you can't tourniquet abdominal wounds, gets clock directions confused at times. Nonsensical tactics.
Additionally, EMP is demonstrated to be effective at knocking out Alliance tech, but for some reason the protagonists never think to use it to schwack the zombied ARRs, freeing tons of additional bodies to help in the fight?

Overall much better than most non-mil authors trying to write in this genre.

A very enjoyable and recommended read.

I don't often right reviews, I do read alot of sci-fi and sci-fantasy and due to the volume, I often try free stuff! Much of what you can find is second rate and doesn't make it past the first chapter, I'm pleased to say this series has so far been very enjoyable and kept me page turning well into the small hours. I'm looking forward to more from M.R Forbes and I am sure I won't be disapointed.

The Universe is a Wheel of Time...

Takes up where Starship Eternal left off. People have outline the plot: this is a battle against AI. But not a simple battle, but full of complex ideas and interesting characters. Can one man make a difference, with a small support team and enigmatic AIs both helping and hindering? It keeps you guessing and entertained. I look forward to the conclusion.

Try it, if you like SF and galactic wide engagements. Might help if you understand the Buddhist Wheel, too.
